Lots of people in the Town Centre yesterday.
Balloons for everyone! No age discrimination.
And cake!
And a billboard for photos of the town, and room for
opinions about what we’d like to see here in the future:
Why?
Borås won a Town Centre of the Year Award
(‘Årets Stadskärna’)
The things the jury looks at include buildings, events,
cooperation between businesses and municipality etc.

Straight Out Of the Camera Sunday
(only the cake picture was edited with a bit of extra contrast)
i love your town and have said that before, what a great idea to let you write your ideas down. that is a lot of people and i see tons of tulips blooming in the first shot. i am thinking the crowd is out enjoying the sunshine after the snow is gone
ReplyDeleteterrific captures!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to be following you now!
Those black tulips among the red ones. I could feast my eyes. The cakes, yum!
ReplyDeleteA fascinating set of pics. Question: do you have many street cafés? One of my loves of New Zealand is the fact that one can have coffee sitting in the street watching the world go by. Boras looks like a place where that could be a very enjoyable pastime.
ReplyDeleteGB - Yes, nowadays any café or restaurant which can find the slightest possibility also offers the possibility to sit outdoors in the summer months. (Some cafés even do it in the winter now, offering extra blankets to wrap yourself in... I think that came with the general non-smoking policy indoors.) This place along the water was created a few years ago, it is lined with street cafés in the summer and has become very popular.
