Boots On the Table, Please!

DSCN1850-1

Ah, fill the Cup! What boots it to repeat
How time is slipping underneath our Feet.
Unborn To-morrow, and dead yesterday
Why fret about them if today be sweet?

'Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam’ (11th century)
translated by Edward FitzGerald (1809-1883)

  2. Hooray - signs of spring! I am ready to boot my boots anywhere but on my feet. Filling them with flowers is a grand idea.

  5. Cute. How interesting that someone thought of time as fleeting even so many centuries ago when life (at least to us) would have seemed much slower.
