With all the things going on in the world lately, my atlas book
somehow felt too flat when I was trying to grasp distances.
Then I remembered that high up in a box in a cupboard
I had this tucked away… an inflatable beach ball…
So I huffed, and I puffed… And there it was.
The whole world in my hand.
But still physically impossible
for me to see all of it at once.
See all those lines stretching across it?
Must be the World Wide Web, don’t you think? ;)

From Heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind;
from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth -
he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.
~ Psalm 33:13 ~

Great post...love the scripture!
ReplyDeleteIndeed the www! :0) I haven't seen one of these in quit some time - think I need to find one for the grandkids. :)
ReplyDeleteso that is what the www looks like. this is really neat. a regular globe takes up a lot of space, this you can look at it and fold it away. never seen one of these before and it is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThe WWW is a good analogy for latitude and longitude, for modern times. All the bad world news has been a bit overwhelming. Love your photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifully creative post. It really is kind of overwhelming.

Hi!
ReplyDeleteWhat an idea, to hold the world in your hands. An atlas does seem flat and this ball globe gets the message across beautifully. Have a great day!
